Brockville - After 32 hours, Diana Kinch and Tina Mattice were the last brides standing over the weekend in Brockville's Last Bride Standing contest held at the Royal Brock Hotel.
The contest was organized and hosted by Melissa Denny and her business Memorable Moments. It was a chance for local brides to win the grand prize of services or discounts from many local sponsors and vendors.
"It was a long test of endurance. All contestants were emotionally stretched out as well as seeing the physical effects of keeping their hands on the wall for that long." said Melissa Denny organizer of Last Bride Standing.
Denny would like to thank all of the sponsors, Eastern Ontario Network and SNAP (media), ISIS ($500 off the purchase of a bridal gown), The Flower Shop (50% off the flowers), Clow Designs (50% off of a photo-booth), Memorable Moments (free wedding planning services and 50% discount on linen rentals), Cory's Custom Cakes (free cake), Itworks - Lesley McGill (facials and a wrap), Pure Magic Vacations (voucher towards a vacation), Heavenly Touch Spa (free hair and make up application), Be Still and Know (free photographer), JohnWmusic (free 4 hour DJ service), E Limo Service (free 4 hour limo service), CJ's ($350 Hors d'oeuvre) and The Royal Brock (50% off the venue as well as a free room for the winning bride).
