RENFREW - Crime Stoppers and the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) need your help to identify the driver of a vehicle who struck a woman and her dog in Arnprior.
On Saturday March 16, 2013 at noon, a woman was walking her dog and stopped on the south/east corner of Daniel St and Baskin Dr. in the Town of Arnprior. The women waited until the walk signal and then proceed east to cross Daniel St. A white mid-sized motor vehicle was stopped to turn right onto Baskin Dr. As the woman and her dog proceeded into the cross walk, the white motor vehicle made a right hand turn, east on Baskin and struck the dog and the woman. The woman sustained minor injuries, while the dog was seriously injured and died later at the veterinary office. The male driver initially stopped at the scene, but then left without providing any information to the victim and prior to police arrival.
