Police Apprehend Suspects in LCBO Theft

Brockville - On the 6th of May 2013 at 2:20 pm a theft at the LCBO was reported.   The complainant advised that two African American males had failed to pay for alcohol and fled in a smaller silver vehicle. 

Officers quickly responded and located a suspect vehicle departing the LCBO area and entering highway 401 westbound.  A traffic stop was conducted and at this time two males were arrested.

 A quantity of alcohol was located in the vehicle along with other items including clothing. Investigators are attempting to locate the locations in which other property was purchased or stolen.

The males are believed to be from the Ottawa area and are being held for bail. 

One male is charged with theft under 5000, breach of recognizance and highway traffic act offences.  The second male is charged with theft under 5000 and obstruct police (he provided a false name).

 They will appear in court this afternoon.  They will be identified when confirmation on their identity is received.
