City of Brockville Set to Celebrate Canada's 145th Birthday

canada-dayBrockville - The City of Brockville will commemorate the 145th birthday of the great nation of Canada on Monday July 1st, Canada Day in downtown Brockville

Starting at Brockville City Hall, One King Street W, The Brockville Pipe and Drum Corp will lead a March of the Scarlet Clad Infantry Re-enactors, representatives of The Brockville Rifles, The Brockville Police Services, those who have served our country in time of war and time of peace, and a number of local dignitaries.

At 11:45 the procession will march West on King Street and then North on Court House Avenue.

At 12:00 noon the singing of “O Canada” shall take place on Court House Green, to be followed by speeches.   A cake donated by Tait’s Bakery will be served after the speeches. 

Make Canada Day a special day as we think of how fortunate we are to live in a nation of such bounty, peace and security. Join your voice with those of your friends and neighbors in the singing of our National Anthem

There will be a fireworks display at the waterfront over the St. Lawrence River starting at approximately 10:00 p.m.
