Update to Suspicious Male in Gananoque

Gananoque - The Gananoque Police Service report they have located the suspect vehicle and identified the male suspect on Wednesday, Nov. 28th involved in the incident of a female youth being approached and propositioned by a male motorist back on Nov. 27th.

At approximately 2:45 PM on Tuesday November 27, 2012 a female teenager was walking alone on Pine Street in Gananoque. A lone male operating a dark, blue or black, car pulled up beside the female. The male offered the female money to hang out with him. The female declined the offer and walked away.

Town police say they are continuing their investigation.

They would like to remind parents and guardians to review the following safety rules with their children:

1. Teach your child to memorize important information.
2. Dial 911
3. Talk about what a stranger is.
4. Tell your child what to do if a car approaches.
5. Tell your child to report any incidents to you.
