Ogdensburg NY - Producers of AMERICAN IDOL are denying it, but numerous tabloids are saying that there was a plan to dump MARIAH CAREY in the middle of this season and bring JENNIFER LOPEZ back to the judges table!  The ratings have been less than spectacular this season, but the story goes that when Mariah’s people got wind of the plot, they threatened legal action.  Another report suggests the entire judges' panel could be replaced for next season and that the search is already underway. Whether or not the J.Lo story is true, she will be back on the show May 16th to debut her new single.

JUSTIN BIEBER and his neighbors may be getting their own reality show.  Producers want to make a show about the rich & famous residents of "The Oaks" community in Calabasas, California.  It’s a gated community that’s home to Bieber, TRAVIS BARKER, KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN, SHANNA MOAKLER, KEYSHAWN JOHNSON, THE JACKSON FAMILY and many others. The problem is that many of the residents want to maintain their privacy and they’re fighting to prevent the show from happening.

 Michael Wayne Reed would perp walk a mile for a Camel.  During a 31-hour standoff with Des Moines police in which he fired at officers, Reed requested a pack of cigarettes. After shooting out two street lights closest to the house where Reed lives with his mother, police waited for nightfall to place the pack of cigarettes on the porch. When Reed emerged to grab the smokes, he got a buzz.  However, it wasn’t a nicotine buzz, but the zap of a Taser, ending the standoff.

A family was bowling at Rockit Lanes in Panama City Beach, Florida when they tried hitting the lane reset button. After it failed to work, they noticed an arm hanging out of the machine. The appendage belonged to 40-year-old William Martens, who was working on the machine, but had not turned it off. By the time employees freed Martens he was blue in the face and not breathing. At last report he was listed in critical condition at a local hospital and the owner of Rockit Lanes told police he didn’t know why Martens wouldn’t have turned off the machine before working on it as it’s one of the most important things mechanics learn.
