Youth arrested after making Facebook threats

SF POLICE Smiths Falls - On the 30th of October 2012 at about 2:00pm police attended a local school to investigate a threats complaint. Police learned that a name calling incident on October 26th led to the accused making several threats towards the victim and the victim’s girlfriend on Facebook.

Traffic stop leads to drug charge

drugbust01 thumb Smiths Falls - On the 29th of October 2012 at about 2:49am it is alleged that police conducted a traffic stop on Main St. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer made observations the driver had been smoking a substance believed to be marijuana. A cigarette suspected to be marijuana and rolling papers were found during a search of the vehicle.

Man arrested for impaired driving

SF POLICE Smiths Falls - On the 27th of October 2012 at about 3:58pm it is alleged that police located a suspected impaired driver on Elmsley St. Police stopped the motor vehicle and made several observations that led to the belief the driver was intoxicated.

Man charged after bring brass knuckles to a fight

SF POLICE Smiths Falls - On the 27th of October 2012 at about 2:45pm it is alleged that police responded to a call regarding a possible fight between two groups of males. Police located the males prior to any altercation taking place. The accused was arrested after police learned he was carrying a set of brass knuckles.
